… the Garden of Forking Paths is an incomplete, but not false, image of the universe …
The sun is that through — and against — which things become known.
Through its direct and unmediated experience it defines
roundness,
cycles,
orientation,
living, and
light.
It is at once the critical substrate for apprehension, and always beyond it.
brighter than bright, and always in tremors.
CHAOS is a work of perceptual reductions, observation, and sensitivity to difference (information).
It presents three synthetic visions of the sun — one whole, one hollow, one absent — which subtract from one another through observing each in series.
This work is about looking at looking; rendering experience into experience; perceiving yourself having perceptions.
CHAOS is both in stasis and violent tremulousness.
Staring at the sun — letting it burn into your eye — is encouraged.
